Itinerary (Day Wise)
We meet you at Ljubljana airport and take you to your hotel.
In the afternoon your guide walks you through the old town along the Ljubljanica River, over the Triple Bridge and the Dragon Bridge, with a stop at Republic Square for the story of Tito's Yugoslavia. Take the funicular up to Ljubljana Castle and climb the tower for the view over the city.
The day ends in an old town wine cellar with Slovenian wines, Kras pršut and local cheese.

Prices & Dates
This is a private tour, so you choose the dates. Departures are on request, any day from April to October.
Approximate prices per person, with a highly rated 4–5★ hotel in Ljubljana:
- 3 guests: about €2,730 per person
- 2 guests: about €2,880 per person
- Solo traveller: about €5,180
The final price depends on your dates and hotel. The tour is for up to 3 guests in a private car. For 4 or more guests we use a van, so the price is on request. Send us your dates and we will confirm the price.
Good to Know
This tour runs from April to October. Vintgar Gorge and Tolmin Gorge close in winter, and Vintgar entry is by timed ticket, which we book for you.
The Ljubljana city tour on Day 1 is planned for the afternoon. If you land late, we move it to the next morning.
Vintgar and Tolmin gorges have wooden walkways, steps and some uneven ground. Wear good walking shoes and bring swimwear for the spa on Day 5.
Currency & Payments
Slovenia uses the Euro (EUR). Cards are accepted almost everywhere, but carry some cash for the pletna boat at Bled (cash only), cafés and small shops.
Tipping
Tipping is appreciated but generally not compulsory. In restaurants and cafés, rounding up the bill or leaving around 5–10% for good service is common. Gratuities for local guides, drivers, and your tour leader are welcome and entirely at your discretion.
Electricity, Wi-Fi & Water
- Electricity: 230V, 50Hz. European Type C and F plugs are commonly used throughout the itinerary.
- Wi-Fi: Available at most hotels and widely available in cafés and restaurants.
- Water: Tap-water quality varies by destination. Your tour leader or hotel can advise locally, and bottled water is readily available throughout the journey.
Weather & Seasonal Conditions
Weather can vary considerably between the Adriatic coast, inland cities, lakes, and mountain regions. Check the forecast shortly before departure and pack layers suitable for changing temperatures and occasional rain.
Itinerary Flexibility
Travel times and daily schedules are approximate. Traffic, border crossings, weather, attraction operating hours, or local conditions may require adjustments.
When necessary, Balkland may change the timing or order of visits while preserving the overall itinerary and included experiences wherever possible.
Photos & Video
Balkland may take photographs or short videos during the tour for use on our website, social media, and promotional materials. Participation in promotional photography is optional.
If you prefer not to be photographed or filmed, simply inform your tour leader at the beginning of the journey.
Payment & Cancellation
