Introduction

The pyramids in Visoko are one of the biggest tourist attractions in Bosnia and Herzegovina. 19 years ago in April, researchers discovered five pyramids near the town of Visoko. Visoko is located in the central part of Bosnia and Herzegovina and because of the Visoko Pyramid, this city has been visited by thousands of tourists.

Tourists go on Balkan tours from different parts of the world to get to know Visoko pyramids. They were discovered by Semir Osmanagić. He is an independent researcher who, 19 years ago, discovered the first signs of pyramids in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In this blog, you go with us on a trip to Visoko, the place where one of the largest pyramids in the world is located!

Semir Osmanagić discovered the Visoko pyramids

Semir Osmanagić lives in the USA in Houston. He is originally from Bosnia and Herzegovina, and when he discovered in 2005 that there are pyramids in this area, his frequent research of this area began.

At the beginning of his discovery, Semir concluded that the oldest people in Europe, the Illyrians, built the Visoko pyramids. However, after constant research and excavation, he realized that the pyramids were built much earlier. Even 34 thousand years ago.

The inhabitants of the city of Visoko, along with the entire region of Bosnia and Herzegovina, expressed surprise. However, soon after the discovery, the Visoko pyramids gained popularity not only locally but also worldwide. Bosnia and Herzegovina quickly accepted that the Visočica mountain is not a mountain, but a pyramid – the Visoko pyramid.

Their popularity was raised by Semir after several different discoveries about the pyramids. He claims that the people who built the pyramids could use them to communicate with beings in space. Also, according to his words, the Visoko pyramids help in solving many health problems. You will learn about these benefits of pyramids a little later in this blog!

Bosnian pyramid complex

In the area of the city of Visoko, there is a complex of Bosnian pyramids. This complex includes the pyramid of the Sun, the pyramid of the Moon, the Dragon, and the two elevations of the Temple of Mother Earth and the Pyramid of Love. The pyramid of the Sun, Moon, and Dragon creates a perfect one-sided triangle. Beneath the triangle is a network of underground prehistoric tunnels.

Pyramid of the Sun

The most famous pyramid is the Pyramid of the Sun. It is as high as 220m, which makes it the largest pyramid in this complex. However, it is also the largest pyramid in the world because it is larger than the famous pyramid of Cheops in Egypt!

The Pyramid of the Sun has four regular sides – north, east, west, and south, which characterizes other pyramids located in Mexico or Egypt. What makes it interesting and attractive is the vegetation that covers the pyramid. This case has also been recorded in China, Mexico, and Guatemala, where hundreds of pyramids are covered by vegetation and soil deposits.

According to the assessment of the Federal Institute for Pedology, the soil cover around the Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun dates back 12,000 years, which confirms that this pyramid is the oldest in the world.

Pyramid of the Moon

The Pyramid of the Sun and the Pyramid of the Moon are connected. During the summer months, the shadow of the Pyramid of the Sun overlaps with that of the Pyramid of the Moon, clearly revealing a connection between these two pyramids in Visoko.

Even the Pyramid of the Moon is bigger than the Pyramid of Cheops. This Visoko pyramid is 190m high, while the Cheops pyramid is 139m high. During the research, researchers concluded that builders used processed slabs of sandstone and clay to construct the Pyramid of the Moon.

What makes it special and different from all pyramids is its shape. The terraced shape of this pyramid features multiple planes or platforms stacked on top of each other.

Medicinal energy Visoko pyramids

As we promised at the beginning of the blog, we bring you a story about the healing energy of the Visoko pyramids. According to Semir Osmanagich, after his research, he discovered that this complex of Bosnian pyramids is full of healing energy.

Their healing energy comes from the energy ray that passes from the top of the pyramids to the sky. The Pyramid of the Sun has the greatest energy, but the other Visoko pyramids also have healing properties.

The aforementioned tunnels are also full of energy that can help heal various ailments. Different energy passes through the tunnels (28 kHz electromagnetism and ultrasound, 7.83 Hz – the original Schumann resonance). It includes the frequency of magnetism, ultrasound, and a high concentration of negative ions that cleanse the body of various bacteria.

So far, mummies and pharaohs have not been found in the pyramids, and Semir claims that this is related to the energy of the pyramids. The Visoko pyramids serve living pharaohs rather than deceased ones, and their energy bestows benefits upon the human race.

Also, the area where the Visoko pyramids are located is full of energy which is ideal for peaceful meditation.

Conclusion

19 years after the discovery of the pyramids in Visoko, this area has been visited by a large number of tourists from different parts of the world. For people who want to go on Balkan trips, one of the must-see destinations is the Visoko pyramids.

Many of them want to feel the energy of these pyramids and visit the natural beauty of this area, but they also want to see for themselves and find out if there are pyramids in the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Anyway, the natural beauty and landscapes of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the entire Balkans are places you must visit! The forests, greenery, plateaus, and mountains that surround this part of the world will leave you speechless. Like the pyramids Visoko!

This beautiful country in the Balkans is like a treasure chest filled with stories, nature, and traditions. Before we dive in, let’s tackle a puzzler that trips up many travelers: What’s the deal with ‘Bosnia’ versus ‘Herzegovina’, and how did these two buddies team up? Think of Bosnia and Herzegovina not as two separate countries, but as a dynamic duo. ‘Bosnia’ refers to the north and center, boasting green mountains, lush forests, and Sarajevo’s charm. Imagine wandering through a storybook landscape – that’s Bosnia for you. Now, ‘Herzegovina’ gets its cool name from ‘Herzog’, meaning a duke or a big shot. It’s the sunny south where the Neretva River plays tag with the valleys. It’s like nature’s own masterpiece, crafted with a little extra sunshine.
