- Architectural Marvel: The current monastery complex, predominantly built in the mid-19th century, preserves a 14th-century defensive tower. Its architecture is a testament to the Bulgarian Renaissance style, characterized by vibrant frescoes and intricate wood carvings.

- Boyana Church Closure Dates: The church is closed on January 1st, Orthodox Easter Sunday, December 24th, and December 25th. On these dates, the tour will only visit Rila Monastery.
