Pick-up and drop-off are provided where specified. Transportation is by private vehicle or minivan, depending on group size. Travel times may vary due to traffic, border/road conditions, and local access restrictions at heritage sites.
Weather
June–September is typically warm in Skopje and Ohrid, with cooler temperatures in mountain areas such as Mavrovo and higher viewpoints. We recommend checking a reliable forecast a few days before arrival and packing layers for evenings and mountain stops.

- ATM access: Easy in Skopje, Bitola, and Ohrid.
Cultural Etiquette
- Dress modestly at churches and monasteries (covered shoulders/knees).
- Photography rules vary by site—your guide will advise before entry.
- Silence is appreciated in active worship areas.
Timing Flexibility
Site order and timing may be adjusted to optimize access, avoid crowds, and account for weather or local conditions. Treskavec Monastery is subject to road/access conditions; in some cases we use the best available viewpoint stop.
Payment & Cancellation
Deposit schedules and cancellation terms vary by tour type, group size, and confirmed services. Your booking confirmation and Balkland Terms & Conditions define the legally binding policy, including any non-refundable components (e.g., special tickets or pre-paid services).
